Meditation Stone

Meditation Stone

Great rock

From the great black heart

Of Earth

You sing me the song

Of the planet’s bones

Susurrus of ancient rivers and

Evaporated roads.

Ponderous,

You weigh me down.

I sink deep into my own life

My toes tingle in the river of time

Which flows beyond this worried moment

And I flow with it

All peace

All great wide empty still

Suffused with the knowingness

Of stone.
