My day aligns with god when I allow

Myself to meditate

Oh joy!

Still in pajamas

Coffee cradled warm

Eyes closed

I release my ego

Into the hands of god

In silence I become aware

Of the journey of consciousness

I touch the threads of earth

One soul awake

Among many

Thirsty, this is my time to drink

Hurried, this is my time to slow

Heavy, this is my time to release

And I emerge

Polished like a stone

Ready to breathe forward

Ready to hold peace

Ready to begin

My life.
