We all have life lessons to learn–Spirit lessons. One of mine is to stand in my truth, and to speak it. I have not yet mastered this lesson, so I must revisit this over and over. Each time my self-ness threatens to be inconvenient for someone else, to hurt their feelings or disappoint them, then I ponder or panic or procrastinate over my decision to say what is. I have come to see that each of these choices links to my Light: how brightly will I allow myself to shine in this lifetime? Will I consider or compassion or constrict what I am for the comfort of others, even when it is truly in nobody’s best interest? I have come to see that each little choice to be affects what is and what can be. And so I do it, but my heart is in my mouth.
