The Tree of Now

The earth and I are meeting

In the shade of the tree of Now,

I feed her sensual berries,

We share a cup of wine.

The earth is my sister-lover,

We are growing hand in hand,

In the light of the present moment,

In our love for this—our land.

The Earth is feminine energy. How did women get so far away from their feminine being? That is changing now, thank goodness. You lead the way, Alix, builder of fences and maker of hearth. Clearly your muse is the Goddess. Thanks for this beautiful poem. hugs, pat

  2. Hi Alix! It’s wonderful to meet you! I really connect with this poem. I find comfort in knowing that mother nature is a loving presence by my side. You had mentioned on my blog saralattisstone.com that you spend time in meditation. I’d like to try this as well. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks! And I am pleased that we have started this conversation as well.

  3. Becca Givens says:

May I join you under the Tree of Now with a mug of hot substance and chat for awhile before our journey’s continue?

  4. Alix Moore says:

    I’m there! Goosebumps!

    Sara,
Your question was so helpful to me! It prompted an on-going reorganization of the info on this site. I have some new thoughts in my head that I will post soon, but in the meantime, there are already a number of posts about meditation. If you look in the sidebar to the right, and click on “meditation” you will see them all gathered in one place. You may also want to check out the “Creativity & Writing” posts. More coming soon!
    Light and love,
    Alix

and some lines stay with you …’these will stay with me …
