Life Lesson

I journey beside your pain:

It’s none of my business.

To think I should fix you

Is to play god

And since I’m not him/her

It’s an act

Of deepest wounding.

I needs must give you

Your own path

Without my well-meant busybody

Interference

Without my face that says

I’m doing this better

Than you are.

Hard learned lesson for me. Giving this much thought these days as I retire from nine years as a volunteer. Thanks, Alix. Hugs, pat

truly, this is a lesson I learn over and over and . . .

  3. I’ve been through this. It’s hard to come to term with your own hopelessness to help some. Difficult.
