Introducing The Eagle Project

From November 17th, 2011

I had a transformational meditation experience the last two nights–I was visited by Eagle.  The first night I just sat and breathed, and as I inhaled I could feel wings lifting, and wings falling as I exhaled.  It felt like I was flying, and went on for a long, long time.  The next night, I was going to skip meditation, but that’s like skipping brushing my teeth before bed. I couldn’t do it. Eagle came back, and I felt like I was her and I could feel her wings and her head layered on top of my earthbound body.  We flew together and spoke for a long time.

On November 15, while we were all still in the energetic flow of 11.11.11, I received a new totem animal: Bald Eagle. Mother Eagle integrated herself into my meditation process, and she has irrevocably changed it. As part of our communion, I have received clear instructions about her wisdom, her message, and her intent to communicate through me and through the vehicle of my writing. I know that this information will become a community, called The Eagle Project. I believe that it connects to my work with children as well as my work with adults. And that’s all I know at this time! lol

However, I don’t need to wait for complete clarity to begin sharing Eagle’s wisdom. In fact, I already have, I just haven’t labeled it as such. If this journey interests you, you may visit past, present, and future Eagle Messages by scrolling down the righthand sidebar until you find the category “The Eagle Project.” For today’s message, please keep reading.

Eagle Teaches

The bald eagle has come and gone

In this country,

Yet some few remain.

On the great seal,

Eagle is posed so hawkish as a sign

Of man’s sovereignty on this land.

And yet, earth and eagle both

Carry goddess wisdom,

Old journey of the mother

Whose time has come again.

Yet this time not to raise her young

On the blood of sacrifice

But rather offer milk and love

At arm’s length:

You, too, my child

Must choose

The new way or the old

Or perhaps the old, old wisdom

Whose time is come anew.

Mother Eagle teaches,

For those who will learn,

And her message is tough:

Look inside yourself for wisdom

Be strong like a young tree,

Rooted and reaching,

Drinking both the earth and heaven,

Holding a space for spirit on the land.

Eagle teaches

We each are the keepers

Of our own known—

Nothing less will answer.

And will we answer Eagle’s call?

Will we walk each our own mountains

Weaving the cloud dance

On the edge of sky?

Earth needs the wisdom

Of all her children.

Alix, thank you for this. A few years ago, I had a profound eagle vision as well. I will be following your Eagle Project with great interest. My vision also had to do with ancient wisdom being made available now. Hugs, pat

    How interesting!!
Perhaps as you visit with me during this project, you will share your experience.
I, myself, can’t wait to see where this is going!

  3. I recently had a similar experience, but it was a horse I saw. Not one for riding, but a horse for walking beside – it is a very strong and muscular horse. I don’t have all the answers to this, as it is all very new to me, yet somehow it is important.

I am grateful to be able to share this,
    Jackie

    Hi Jackie,
That is so great! There are so many totem animals, and each of us finds one or more throughout the course of our lifetime. Horse is powerful transformative energy, but quite different from Eagle. (Which doesn’t mean you can’t also learn from Eagle!) Do you know yet what Horse is here to teach you?
    Thanks for sharing your experience.
    Namaste,
    Alix
