Writing God

As I was considering which poem to share this morning, I noticed that the word god was in almost every poem I was considering. God is a loaded word, and one I was not comfortable with for many years.  Even now, it’s not a christian god I see, but the  magic of the universe.  (“Divine masculine/divine feminine energy” just doesn’t scan.)

However, as you read, if the poem resonates for you, you read your reality into my words, and so, my I is you and your god is present. My job as a writer is to create and let go. Kind of like, well, god. Not all creating is Creating, but it’s fruit from the same tree.

What do you think?
