My Own Name

I do not need your mirrors

To see myself.

Once I thought I did,

Yet clearly

Your vision of me merely

Layered

Illusions upon reality.

When I can look in any mirror

In the absolute absence of shame

Then I will truly know

My own name.

    thank you, ladies
this poem was inspired by Louise Hay’s mirror work. It’s amazing what challenge and what growth can come from simply looking in the mirror.
    Blessings,
